Voice & Piano Lessons

Zella Ricks (Voice & Piano)

Zella has a deep, innate love for both playing and teaching piano and voice. Her background began as a pianist at age 7, and extended to college where she chose music education and voice as her focus. Following graduation, Zella’s workplace experience includes almost 8 years of teaching music education and choir in the Houston Area public school system, including serving as one of the district accompanists. In addition, she has acted as vocal director and instructor for multiple youth musical theatre productions, singing classes, and summer camps. She has also served as a private music lesson instructor for over 25 years, and teaches ages six to adult. Zella believes that music is an integral part of our humanity, and loves helping others to develop and foster a love and connection to music. Each person has their own “song” or imprint, and by learning, we connect with our own music, and our own voice. This is where true joy, authenticity, connection, and fun are created!
